The heating element activates if the temperature in the wine room drops below the selected storage temperature.

To achieve optimal performance and maintain the product warranty, the room must be built according to the minimum standard for custom-built cold rooms, including insulation requirements for floors, walls and ceilings, as well as a vapour barrier. Recommended insulation is at least 10 cm using insulation/rock wool in walls, ceilings and floors. The vapour barrier must always be placed on the warm side of the insulation. Ventilation against external walls must be at least 5 cm. No vapour-tight materials may be used inside the cold room. An approved cold room door is also required. Glass panels or glass doors require a separate performance calculation. Please also consider the ambient temperature around the unit within the installation area. At lower temperatures, such as those found in cold basements, garages, etc., winter control is required to ensure optimal operation and prevent damage.

Please note: The unit must be installed on an internal wall. During installation, a plastic cover or ventilation grille kit must be fitted. This can be purchased separately.

As standard, the Thermocold EC15 is installed on the left-hand side of the wine room, but this can be changed upon request.
