How to open a bottle of champagne with a sabre
The trick is to slide the sabre along the bottle and hit the collar right where the glass seam runs. You can see a thin line running from top to bottom. Just make a quick and precise strike – it does not require much force. It’s important to hit exactly where the seam meets the glass at the cork. Sabering works best when the bottle is chilled.
